Privacy Policy

Kit ("we", "us") is a community management platform operated at trykit.io. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your choices.

Information we collect

  • Account information. When you sign in, we store your email address and a profile (display name, optional photo, and any answers to community-specific questions you provide).
  • Content you create. Posts, events, RSVPs, comments, reactions, and messages you create in your communities are stored so other community members can see them.
  • Community membership. Which communities and channels you belong to, your role (member or admin), and your join date.
  • Push notification tokens. If you enable notifications, we store an Apple Push Notification token (iOS) or Web Push subscription (browser) so we can deliver notifications you've opted into.
  • Basic technical information. Server logs (IP address, request timestamps) for security and reliability. We do not use third-party analytics or tracking SDKs.

How we use information

  • To run the Kit service: authenticate you, deliver content to your community, send notifications.
  • To email you transactional messages (sign-in codes, event reminders, mentions).
  • To diagnose problems and prevent abuse.

We do not sell your information, share it with advertisers, or use it for advertising profiling.

Service providers

We use the following processors to operate Kit:

  • Supabase — database and authentication
  • Vercel — application hosting
  • Resend — transactional email delivery
  • Apple Push Notification Service — iOS push delivery

Each of these processors only handles data necessary to provide their service to us.

Your choices

  • You can edit your profile or leave a community at any time from within the app.
  • You can disable notifications in iOS Settings or in the Kit notification preferences.
  • You can request that we delete your account and personal information by emailingkit@trykit.io. We'll fulfill your request within 30 days.

Data retention

We retain your account information for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we delete your profile and the content you created within 30 days, except where we're required to retain it to resolve disputes or comply with legal obligations.

Children

Kit is not intended for users under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as Kit evolves. The "Last updated" date at the top will reflect the most recent revision. Material changes will be communicated to active users by email.
